Robert "Bob" Wayne Arehart was born June 24, 1950 at Holdrege, Nebraska to Glen and Margaret (Quinn) Arehart, the 8th of 9 children and went to be with Jesus Monday, January 10, 2011 at St. Elizabeth Regional Medical Center in Lincoln at the age of 60 years 6 months and 17 days.

As a young boy he attended Bertrand High School and graduated with the Class of 1968. He furthered his education at Dakota Wesleyan University in South Dakota where he earned his Bachelor's Degree in education graduating in 1972. Bob taught and coached wrestling for two years at Willow Lake, SD and later taught biology and coached wrestling at Friend High School for 36 years before retiring in 2010. In the summer months, Bob operated "Home Crafts and Care" lawn service in Friend.

Bob and Jana were united in marriage on June 8, 1974 and to this union a son, Christopher, and five daughters, Lindsay, Shauna, Brandi, Ashley and Monica were born. Together they made their home in Friend where Bob played many roles and touched many lives. He supported the Friend High School by being a mentor to many students, especially his wrestling teams. He always had a camera around his neck and captured many precious moments. His family was important and he was very proud of his grandkids.

Bob attended the Friend and Crete Berean Churches, and was actively involved in FCA and Men's Bible Studies. He also helped with the AWANA program and taught Sunday School.

Bob is survived by his wife, Jana Arehart, Friend, children and spouses and their children, Christopher and Erica Arehart, Drew, Mallory and Cooper, all of Lincoln; Lindsay and Rickey Washington, Julia and Ariah, all of San Diego, CA; Brandi and Jeremy Jourdon, Garrett, Hayden and Myles all of Lincoln; Ashley and Ricky Washburn, Carson and Tynli, all of Hastings; Monica and Efrem Jones Jr, MaLiaya and BriLiegh, all of Lonoke, AR; sisters, Donna Jauken, Holdrege, Darlene Smith, Lawton, OK, Linda and Herb Hutcheson, Lincoln, brother and sister-in-law, Larry and Kathy Arehart, Lincoln, mother-in-law and spouse, Evelyn and Stan Duckworth, North Platte, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Jack and LuAnn Bowen, Jim Bowen, all of Bertrand, John and Darla Bowen, Phoenix, AZ, sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Julie and Jim Walston, Ridgecrest, CA and a host of relatives and friends.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Shauna Lynn Arehart, infant sister, Margaret Ann Arehart, sister, Marie Wissmann, brothers, Dean and Eldon Arehart.
