On January 5, 2012, Robert L.E. Beig passed away at the age of 55. Robert was born in Hastings, NE on April 10, 1956 to Robert and Vesta Beig. He was raised in Hartington, NE and graduated from Hartington High School in 1974.
Bob touched the lives of many people and will be forever remembered for his kindness, generosity, and loving spirit. He loved slow-pitch softball, the Nebraska Cornhuskers, and the Denver Broncos. His passions in life were collecting Coca-Cola memorabilia, decorating and celebrating his two favorite Holidays, Halloween and Christmas, and spending time with family and friends.
He was the beloved husband of Kimberly Beig for 27 years. They have been sweethearts since he stole her kindergarten mat 50 years ago. Bob will forever be remembered by his devoted children Robbie, Port Orchard, WA, Chris and wife Nicole, Indianapolis, IN, Kelsea, Vermillion, SD, and Kallie, Twin Falls, ID, treasured grandchildren, Wyatt, Eli, and Malia, loving sisters: Jeannie and husband Rich Fourtner, North Platte, NE, Peg and husband Paul Wedel, Blair, NE, Charlotte and husband Dave Jones, Central Point, OR, Jance Snook and husband Leonard of Hartington, Nebraska, and DeAnn Beig and friend Sue Koch, several nieces and nephews, along with countless other friends and family whom were blessed to know him. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Vesta Beig, his brother Danny Hourigan, brothers-in-law Harry Lammers and Roy Rettman, father and mother-in-law, Maurice and Jeanne Kneifl, and sister-in-law, Kandy Beauchene.
