-- Fred W. Cornwell, 90, of 2475 Neely Store Road went to be with the Lord Friday, August 9, 2013, at his home. Graveside services will 11 a.m. Monday at Grandview Memorial Park on Hollis Lakes Road with Pastor Gary Adkins officiating.
Born in Rock Hill, Mr. Cornwell was the son of the late Carl and Martha C. Cornwell. He retired from the Celanese and was a Scout Master for many years. He also attended Harvest Ministries Church of Rock Hill.
He is survived by his wife, Drucilla P. Cornwell; a daughter, Nancy C. Daves of Hickory Grove, S.C.; step-daughters, Martha Martin of Stoneville, N.C., Ruby Fischer and husband, Albert of Rock Hill; step-granddaughter and care giver, Chrystal Brown of the home; five grandchildren, four step-grandchildren, eight great-great grandchildren, and seven step-great-great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by a daughter, Becky Butner of Conway and three brothers, Ivey Cornwell Sr., Edward Cornwell and W.C. Cornwell, all of Rock Hill.
Visitors are welcome anytime at the home and food will be served after the service. Memorials may be made to the Harvest Ministries Church or to one's choice.
