STAFF SERGEANT, 825TH BOMB SQUADRON, 484TH BOMB GROUP, 15TH AIR FORCE,

WORLD WAR II.

Tail Gunner, shot down over Austria aboard B-24H Liberator #42-94740 "Big Dick."

Two other crew were KIA. The remaining were captured and taken as POWs.

KIA were:

2nd Lt. Billie R Sanders, Co-Pilot

TSgt. Clarence T Gambill, Engineer

Son of Sadie A. Bangs, 55 Heard Street, Chelsea, Ma.

Enlisted at Boston, Massachusetts, January 26, 1943. ASN 31271822
