Robert Lee Williamson Jr. was a strapping tall man, standing 6'3" tall. He was a well liked man by many he knew. His nick name "Cotten", for his hair was blond in color. Robert served in the United States Air Force. After returning from duty he became a relator and investor of financing by trade in the eastern southern parts of the United States.

At the age of thirty years old, he married Fate Burnette, of Buncombe County, in Western North Carolina. Fate being one of the famous Burnette and Walker family members, her ancestors settling in the Valley of Black Mountain, NC some 300 years ago.

Robert and Fate had one son, an only child (Lee) the image of his father in many ways, tall, and a smile for all who met him and always a helping hand within his reach. He'd be proud of his son today.

Robert left this life at the age of nearly 46 years old, due to a heart attack while sleeping. He passed away in Albany Georgia. His funeral attended by many family and friends.

Leaving behind, his wife Fate, son Lee, his parents and two younger sisters.

I am Robert & Fate's daughter in law, married to their son, Lee. My name is Sissy.

Fate being a young widow and her son, Lee, moved back to her families land in Black Mountain of Buncombe County NC, and began life anew. She a Pharmacist and her son a high school young man.
