Funeral services for Harold Ritter "Hoggie" Saunders, grandson of the late County Commissioner and Mrs. W. R. Ritter, Sr. will be held 11 a.m. Monday in the Southside Chapel of the Key-McCabe Funeral Home, 40 University Blvd., South with the Rev. William H. Marquis officiating and burial in Evergreen Cemetery. Mr. Saunders of 3370 Sylvia St. died Friday the 13th in a local hospital following a long illness. He was a native and lifelong resident of Jacksonville and a member of the Presbyterian church. Survivors, his wife, Mrs. Evelyn Saunders; his mother, Mrs. Lotteese Saunders; a daughter, Mrs. Mary Denmark; a son, Harold R. Saunders, Jr.; two aunts, Mrs. Murray Dickinson and Mrs. Julius Gundlach; an uncle, William R. Ritter, Jr.; a cousin, Mrs. Walter Morrison. Pallbearers, Irving Alsobrook, _______Hagins, William Lockler, Howard Roberts, William Dowling and Don Lock.
