Ferdinand L. Abbet, 83, of Menasha Avenue, Manitowoc, died Thursday at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc, where he had been a patient since April 25. Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Pfeffer Funeral Home and at 10 a.m. at Holy Innocents Catholic Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. Leo Schmitt will officiate and burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Mishicot.
Mr. Abbet was born Feb. 6, 1886, in Town of Gibson, son of the late Louis and Amelia Mathey Abbet. He married Grace Najemnik at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Mishicot, Nov. 11, 1910. She died Nov. 1, 1925. The couple had farmed in Town of Gibson 25 years before moving to Town of Manitowoc Rapids.
Survivors are three daughters, Miss Mabel, Mrs. Joseph (Martha) Shimon and Mrs. Dan (Lucy) Sieracki, of Mantiowoc, a sister, Mrs. George Pieschel, of Two Rivers and six grandchildren. A brother preceded him in death.
Friends may call at the funeral home where at 7:30 o'clock this friday evening the Rosary will be recited.
