LILLIE ROENE BARKER
Funeral services for Mrs Lillie Roene Barker, 76, of 5019 Albion St, Boise, who died Sept. 27, 1982 at home of natural causes will be conducted Thurs. Sept. 30 at 10:30 a.m. in Wright Congressional United Church of Christ, Boise, with Pastor James E Nolan officiating. Interment will follow at Terrace Lawn Memorial Gardens under the direction of Cloverdale Funeral Home.
Mrs Barker was born Sept. 5, 1906, to George N and Estella Hiner at Montpelier, Idaho, while traveling from Hooper, Colo. to the Boise valley in a covered wagon. She was raised and educated in Meridian. She married Edward R Barker on May 14, 1927, at Meridian. Mrs Barker was a member of Wright Community Congressional United Church of Christ, Friendly Service, and Circle 3 of the church.
She is survived by a daughter, Mrs Gene Missman of Boise; three sons, James R Barker, Joe S Barker, both of Boise; and Lt. Col. Edward R Barker of Minot, ND; a brother, Roy H Hiner of Boise; six grandsons; 5 granddaughters, and 8 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband and 8 brothers.
Casket bearers will be Daniel Barker, Bryan Barker, Dennis Barker, Dale Barker, David Barker, and Jamie Barker. Friends may call at Cloverdale Funeral Home Chapel today from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. The family suggests that memorials be made to Wright Congressional United Church of Christ, 4821 Franklin Rd., Boise, 83705
