Mr. Pagoota, 81, went to be with the Lord Jesus in Heaven on Saturday, July 17, 2004 at Presbyterian Hospital.
Mr. Pagoota was born December 18, 1922 in Charlotte, a son of the late William M. and Susie Smith Pagoota. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his three brothers, Carl Pagoota, Charlie Pagoota and Bobby Pagoota. Mr. Pagoota attended Steele Creek Baptist Church and retired from Kraft Foods.
Mr. Pagoota is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Mrs. Shirley Mae Starnes Pagoota of the home; sons, Terry L. Pagoota and wife, Melissa, of Mint Hill, James R. Pagoota and wife, Victoria, of Charlotte, and Tony R. Pagoota and wife, Kasey; daughter, Joyce Pagoota Wiles and husband, Charles, of Portage, MI; sister, Angelina Stikeleather and husband, Gene, of Midland, NC; two brothers, William M. Pagoota, Jr. and wife, Barbara, of Charlotte, and Larry L. Pagoota and wife, Peggie, of Lake Norman; 10 grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
