Msgt. Henry Allen Baker.
Msgt. Baker, retired 23-year U.S. Marine veteran, departed this life on August 2, 2007. He was employed at Sun Valley High School as a devoted ROTC instructor, loved and respected by faculty and students. He was a member of St. Luke Missionary Baptist Church. Henry was an avid cyclist and member of the Cannonballs Cycle Team.
He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 23 years, Wanda; sons, Henry and Santana; daughter, Lynn; eight grandchildren; and a host of relatives and friends.
Services will be held on August 8, 2007 at St. Luke Missionary Baptist Church, 1600 Norris Avenue, Charlotte, NC. Visitation is 11:00-11:55 AM; service at 12 noon, with interment at Gethsemane Memorial Gardens.
A.L. Jinwright Funeral Service will be serving the Baker family.
