Dr. Keith Marshall Bailey, age 91 of Pikeville, Kentucky passed away Thursday, March 26, 2015 at the Pikeville Medical Center.

Dr. Bailey was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Jane Ross Bailey, his parents, Frank Martin Bailey and Sylvia Marie Marshall Bailey, a brother, Kenneth Bailey of Green ville, Ohio (wife: Charlotte Bailey) and one son, David Allen Bailey of Morris, IL.

He is survived by three sons, 7 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren:

Dr. Bailey was born in Greenville, Ohio on February 4, 1924 and attended Taylor University and Ashland College. He received a Bachelor of Theology degree from St. St. Paul Bible College, St Paul, MN (now Crown College), a Bachelor of Arts from Nazarene College, Bethany, OK 9 now Southern Nazarene University) and an Honorary Doctor of Letters (LLD) from Asbury College, Wilmore, Ky (now Asbury University).

He began Preaching the Gospel in 1941 at the age of 17, his ministry was as follows:

First Church: East Zion Community Church, Darke County, Ohio

Church of the Brethren Congregation in Ohio

Christian & Missionary Alliance Ministry:

Missionary to the Native American

Pastored 6 churches in Ohio, Minnesota, Oklahoma, Illinois and Kentucky

Past District Superintendent in two new Districts, Midwest and Ohio Valley

Past Vice President of North American Ministries (oversight of United States & Canadian Churches, Work in Central American and Europe at the time of holding this office)

Past Managing Editor of Christian Publications, Inc.

During 55 years of ministry in the Alliance Dr. Bailey traveled across the country and to over 30 countries preaching the Gospel. He was a sought after speaker for Summer Camps, Bible Conferences and Revival services.

He is one of the ministers at the Cornerstone Dunkard Brethren Church

Was called on the preach at District and national conferences as well as Revivals in many churches across the country

Served on the Publication Board and District Bible School Committee and often taught at the annual Bible School

Writer: Wrote 12 books with two more near completion. His latest book was Why Christ is Returning to Earth: A Study in the Book of Revelations (Published in late 2012). Another one that is near completion is a collection of children's stories he told his grandchildren over the years. We are waiting on the completion Artwork to Publish this collection.

Committal Services: Monday, April 13, 2015 11:00 a.m. at the Abbottsville Cemetery in Arcanum, Ohio.
