He married Christina Riedl, born Dec. 20. 1892. daughter of Frank (Franz) Riedl. of Olmitz, Rozel, where their six sons were born. They were active Rozel where their six sons were born - John, Nolan, Gail, Floyd, Robert, and Bruce. They were active in the community and in the Baptist Church, with Fred serving on several boards including the Union Co-op Elevator.
