Funeral rites for Mrs. Rebecca
Ellen Vernon, 77, former local
resident who died Saturday afternoon
at her Koontz Lake, Ind.,
home, will be conducted at 1:30
p.m. Tuesday at the Chase-Miller
mortuary, Rev. Virden Graham in
charge, and burial will be made in
the Davis cemetery, Burnettsville.
A native of Cass county, she was
born Feb. 25, 1877, to William and
Mary (Foust) Case, and was married
to George A, Vernon, who
died in 1951.
A member of Naomi Shrine No.
9 and Fidelity Chapter, No. 58, of
the Eastern Star, she had resided
at Koontz Lake for several years.
She leaves three daughters, Mrs.
Betty Spencer of this city, Mrs.
Virginia Tuttle, rural route, Walkerton,
and Mrs. Josephine Reeser,
San Bernardino, Calif.; two sons,
Charles Million of this city and
Mason Million, Fort Wayne; six
grandchildren; a brother, Charlie
Case, Burnettsville; and a sister,
Mrs. Rhuama Zeek, Lake Cicott.
Friends may call at the Chase-
Miller chapel, where Eastern Star
rites will be held at 7:30 p.m. today,
followed by White Shrine
services at 8 p.m.
