Philip V. Antonini

Philip Vincent Antonini, 65, of Athens, formerly of Springfield, died Monday at St. John's Hospital.

He was born Feb. 11, 1931, in Nemacolin, PA., the son of Berardino and Fiorangela Pandaloni Antonini. He married Joyce Lee Turner in 1955.

A Springfield resident prior to moving to Athens in 1992, Mr. Antonini was a construction worker for Union Local 477 and a laborer at Dunn Paint Co.

A U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Was, he earned the United Nations Service Medal, Korean Service Medal with Bronze Star and National Defense Service Medal. He was a member of Laborer's International Union of North America Local 477 and a former member of Elks BPOE 158. Mr. Antonini also attended Athens United Methodist Church.

Survivors: wife, Joyce; a daughter, Mrs. Ron (Tina M.) Sisler or North Pekin; a grandson; a brother, Herman Antonini or Springfield; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Services" 11 a.m. Thursday at Staab Funeral Home, the Rev. Norman Mendell officiating. Burial: Camp Butler National Cemetery.
