He married Helen L. Mallergren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and three half sisters.
Mr. Bourque was a 31 year veteran of the U.S. Navey where he was master chief radioman.
He worked for the U.S. Postal Service in Springfield for 17 years.
He graduated from Lynn Engligh High School and was an honor graduate of Lincoln Lan Community College. He received his bachelor's degree from Sangamon State University.
He was an alderman on the Petersburg City Council and a member of Menard County VFW Post 6871.
Surviving are his wife, Helen; three daughters, Mrs. Stephen (Pamela) Hutton, of Charleston; Nancy Bourque, of Chicago; and Carrie Bourque, of Farmington Hills, Mich.; two grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Richard (Nancy) Sullivan, of Hebron, Conn.
Military graveside services were held at Camp Butler.
Hurley Funeral Home in Petersburg was in charge of arrangements.
