Clovies "Al" Allen, age 77, died April 20, 2006 at the Frankford Hspital. He was born March 25, 1928 in Kingston, Jamaica; he became a US citizen and was a long-time resident of Levittown. He was the son of the late Solomon and Johana (Gordon) Allen.
He was a member of the St. Ann Church-Bristol, where he served as an usher for many years. Clovies worked for the Courier Times (CDC) for 12 years, prior to that he retired in 1990 from the Bucks County Community College as a mail clerk.
Clovies is survived by his wife, Barbara (Robinson) Allen of Levittown, two sons, Horace Brown of Cincinnati, Ohio, Clovies Johnson of Philadelphia and a daughter, Stefani Allen of Levittown, He is also survived by seven grandchildren; a brother, Leslie Mitchell of West Palm Beach, Fla.; three cousins, Edna Lambert, Winifred Smith and Roy Thompson; along with many nieces nd nephews, brothers-in-law Tommy, Frankie and Jerry and close friends.
Friends and family are invited to attend his Mass of Christian Burial, Tuesday, April 26, 2005 at 10:00 am at St. Ann Church, 357 Dorrance St., Bristol. There will no calling hours at the funeral home. Burial will be in St. Mark Cemetery.
