Wayne was a third generation American who was honorably discharged from the Army in 1945. He spent the rest of his career in the upholstery supply business, retiring from Van Waters and Rogers. Survivors include his loving wife, Ladessa; daughters, Elaine Winter , Gloria Winter -Reeves (husband, Bob), Oklahoma, and Barbara Winter , Edgewater, CO; step-children and their spouses, Lynn Trefren (Doyle), Thornton, CO., John Yuthas (Jennifer), Oklahoma, Kristi Yuthas (John Bizjak), Portland, Oregon, Susan Yuthas (Rob Tischer), Pine, CO; grandchildren and step-grandchildren, Michael Santeramo, Rocco DiPentino, Desiree Winter , Garrett Reeves, Veda Shook, Steven Trefren, Jennifer Zertuche, Kiley Yuthas, Jackson Bizjak, Michaela Yuthas, Owen Yuthas, Mandy Yuthas, 9 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death were his parents; his first wife and mother of his 3 daughters, Patricia Anne (Roylance); an infant son, Wayne Nichols Winter Jr.; brothers, James Aaron Winter , Richard Winter ; and sister Verna Allen. Funeral arrangements directed by Mountain View Memorial Gardens, Mesa, AZ. Interment will be Feb. 27 at Ft. Logan Cemetery, Denver, 10:30AM, Staging area B. Memorial service at 1pm, Broomfield United Methodist Church, 545 W. 10th Ave., Broomfield, CO.
