He is suvived by his wife Kathryn Syntha Reynolds Bass.He also leaves behind eight children, four sons as follows; Rev.Jesse W.Bass, Johnnie H.Bass,James D.Bass and Robert Bass.Four daughters Nancy Jane Bass, Lillie Mae Bass, Nettie Sue Bass and Florence Virginia Bass. He lost a daughter Lizzie Bell Bass seven years prior to his death. Manning was born and reared in Spartanburg co.He was a carpenter/ contractor.He was a member of Victor Mill Baptist Church.HE is dearly loved and missed by all that knew him.He was a member of Victor Baptist Church.He was also a member of woodmen of the world Oak Forest camp # 67 in Greer S C. Manning and his son Johnnie Built several houses in Greer.He was a well respected citizen of Greer.
