Violette Moon Bright, 92, formerly of 4538 N. Highway 14, widow of Clarence Ralph Bright, died October 6, 2009 at Ashlan Village.

A native of Greenville County, daughter of the late James Milton and Rebecca Elizabeth Lindsey Moon, she retired from Stone Manufacturing after 25 years of service and was a member of Mount Lebanon Baptist Church. Mrs. Bright was a member of the U.D.C. Chapter 1281 and Woodmen of the World.

Surviving are two daughters and sons-in-law, Martha and Earl Waldrop of Greer, and Becky and Marshall Allen of Greer; a son and daughter-in-law, Bill and Judy Bright of Greer; six grandchildren, Scott Bright, Jeff Bright, David Bright, Melanie Hughes, Sandy Elliott, and Wendy Collins; ten great-grandchildren, Danny Bright, Josh Bright, Justin Bright, Christopher Bright, Timothy Bright, Samuel Bright, Emily Bright, Keri Hanley, Megan Hughes, and Mallory Collins; and two great-great-grandchildren, Maddisyn Hanley and Macie Hanley.

Mrs. Bright was predeceased by one daughter, Norma Jean Bright; five brothers, John Moon, Hoy Moon, Roy Moon, Walter Moon, and James Moon; and five sisters, Minnie Hill, Lillian Beacham, Lelia Brown, Vinnie Hudson, and Grace Genoble.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday at Mount Lebanon BaptistChurch conducted by Rev. Mark Smith, Rev. Delano McMinn, and Rev. TedConwell. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Scott Bright, Jeff Bright, David Bright, Justin Bright, Josh Bright, Kenny Hughes, Bryant Elliott, and Danny Bright.

Honorary escort will be Christopher Bright, Timothy Bright, Blake Hanley, The Willing Workers Sunday School Class and all of her nephews.

Visitation will be held 6:30 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the home of her daughter, Martha Waldrop and 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. Friday at Mount Lebanon Baptist Church.

The family is at the home of her daughter, Martha and Earl Waldrop, 4613 Babb Road, Greer.
