TAYLORS - George F. Ballew, 73, of Rt. 1, Taylors, died Saturday at 8:40 a.m. at a Greer hospital.
He was a native of Greenville County, son of the late Joe Walker & Martha Farmer Balliew. He spent most of his life in the Double Springs community and was a member of Double Springs Baptist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Bertie Dill Balliew; three sons, Paul, Marshall and Virgil Balliew of Taylors; a stepsister, Mrs. Bessie Bramlett of Greer; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral arrangements will be announced by the Wood Mortuary. The body will be placed in the home late Sunday.
