Emma Aileen Simms Gatewood was a sweet and precious lady. She was the 2nd daughter and the 4th child of William Franklin "Bud" Simms and Biddie Marvin Thomas Simms. She married Louie Linzy Gatewood on Dec 19, 1932 in McCamey, TX, Upton Co. Louie and Emma had 2 sons and 1 daughter. Emma's father was my paternal grandmother's brother.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, April 11, at First Baptist Church of Iredell with the Rev. Robbie Ballew officiation. Burial will be in Mitchell Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Rutledge-Jones Funeral Home, Inc. in Hico.
