Snoda was the daughter of Marmaduke York and Mary Kivett. She married James Exton Kivett and they were the parents of two children: Mary Alean and Waldo Kenneth.

RAMSEUR - Mrs. Snoda York Kivett, 87, of Route 2 died Monday at her home.

Graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Sunset Knoll Cemetery.

A native of Randolph County, she was a homemaker, a member of Jordan Memorial United Methodist Church, and of Daughters of Wesley Sunday School Class.

Surviving are daughter, Mrs. Aileen Gilliland of Ramseur; son, W. Kenneth Kivett of Greensboro; sisters, Mrs. Vernie Wright of Liberty, Mrs. Ocie Biesser of Chesapeake, Va.; four grandchildren; one great-grandson.

The family will be at Loflin Funeral Home 7-9 p.m. today.

Memorial contributions may be made to Jordan Memorial United Methodist Church, or to the charity of the donor's choice.
