Fannie was the sixth of seven children born to Gurden Flowers and Mary Elizabeth (Kivett) Butler. She married Altas 'Cletus' Perry in 1909 and they had seven children: Juanita Lillian, Malfus Lawton, Raymond Alfred, Lewis Caldwell, Paul Staley, James Fleming and Mary Marjorie.
