ALVIN R. CUNDICK
Alvin Rogers Cundick, 76, of 562 Center St., died in a local hospital Thursday at 6:15 a.m.
Mr. Cundick was born June 20, 1876, the son of Francis and Sarah Ann Glover Cundick, in West Jordan.
He was active in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and resided in Salt Lake Twenty-fourth Ward. He was a high priest at the time of his death. He had also served two missions.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Melva Harvey P. Cundick; seven sons and daughters, Mrs. Helen Virgin, San Francisco; Mrs. Mary Smith, Salt Lake City; William A. Cundick, Santa Barbara, Cal.; George Cundick, San Francisco; Steven, Robert Cundick and Miss Patricia Conduck, all of Salt Lake City; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two brothers and two sisters, Homer Cundick, Salt Lake City; Samuel Cundick, West Jordan; Mrs. Alice Roswell, Salt Lake City, and Mrs. Mattie Bollinger, Sandy.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 1:30 p.m. at West Jordan First Ward chapel. Friends may call at 260 E. South Temple, Sunday from 5 to 8 p.m. and Monday at the family home, 562 Center St., from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Burial will be in West Jordan Cemetery.
