Chris was born in Buffalo, NY on December 24, 1948, a beloved daughter of the late Stephen F. and Gwendoline (Davies) Tucker. She was raised in Greenwich, CT, where she graduated from St. Mary Grammar and St. Mary High School. Chris received a B.A. in History from the College of White Plains. She worked in a variety of direct marketing jobs in Connecticut and New York. After moving to Delaware, Chris worked for Hercules Incorporated and the U.S. Federal Bankruptcy Court. Chris taught religious education for almost 25 years, first at St. Mary Church in Greenwich, CT and later at St. Ann's Church in Wilmington, DE. She was also a member of the St. Vincent de Paul Society at St. Ann's Church. Chris and her husband moved to Massachusetts in 2002.
Besides her beloved husband Edward of 25 years, Chris leaves her loving sister, Barbara C. Tucker of Enfield, CT; her dear brother, David and his wife, Ellen of Monterey, CA; her dearest aunt, Winifred Mikuszewski of South Hadley, MA; her cherished sister-in-law, Florence Kibler and her husband, William of Middletown, DE; her dear brother-in-law, Joseph Napolski and his wife, Joan of Newark, DE; and 7 nieces and nephews, as well as many cousins in the U.S. and the United Kingdom.
A procession will form on Saturday morning, November 17, 2007 by 9 am at the Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Road, Enfield to St. Patrick's Church, Enfield, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 am. Burial will follow in St. Patrick's King Street Cemetery, Enfield, CT. Relatives and friends may call on Christine's family at the Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels on Friday evening from 5-8 pm.
Chris loved flowers so floral tributes are welcome. However, if you prefer, donations may be made to St. Joseph Church, 1012 French Street, Wilmington, DE 19801 or to St. Patrick's Church Music Program, 64 Pearl Street, Enfield, CT 06082.
