1 Nov 1960: Mrs. Margaret I. Allwein, of 8 North Sixth Street, died Sunday evening in the Twin Spruce Convalescent Home, Myerstown, after a lingering illness. Aged 83, she was the widow of John F. Allwein, and was the last of her immediate family. A daughter of the late Jacob and Wilhemina Sarge Harter, she was a member of Centenery Methodist Church. She is survived by a daughter, June F., wife of Enoch Byron, of Gouglersville; a son, Homer J., of Lebanon; and also four grandchildren; and one nephew. [Lebanon Daily News]

2 Nov 1960: Funeral services were held this afternoon for Mrs. Margaret I. Allwein, of 8 North Sixth. St, from the Christman Funeral Home. Rev. Robert E. Kieffer, pastor of Centenary Methodist Church, officiated. Interment was made in Mt. Lebanon Cemetery. The following were pallbearers: Richard J. Zweier, Curtis J. Zweier and Thomas Byron, relatives; and Ralph C. Matterness, William T. Atkins and Wilbur H. Fauber, members of the church. [Lebanon Daily News]
