Mrs. Florence Elizabeth Hutchins "Polly" Berry, wife of Dr. Francis X. Berry, died Wednesday, August 3, 1994, at Moses Cone Memorial Hospital.

Funeral mass will be held Saturday, August 6, 1994, at 2 p.m. at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church and will be celebrated by Father Thomas Berry of New York City and Greensboro. Burial will be in Green Hill Cemetery.

A native of Fort Worth, Texas, she was a member of Saint Pius X Catholic Church. She was a graduate of Midwestern University of Whichita Falls, Texas She has served on various boards, including the Citywide PTA Board, the Saint Pius X. School Board, the Greensboro Civic Ballet, and was a founding member of the Greensboro Children's Theater. She was actively involved in the Greensboro Mobile Meals Program for 25 years.

Surviving are her husband, Dr. Francis X. Berry of the home; daughters, Mrs. Susan B. Urquhart of Lewiston, and Mrs. Patricia B. Marler of Greenville, S.C.; five grandchildren; great-aunts, Mrs. Virginia Comstock and Mrs. Florence R. Patterson, both of Greensboro.
