George Neyhouse died at age 25 following injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident at Triangle, Virginia, in October 1978. He was the oldest son and child of the late Reuben John Neyhouse and the late Margaret Schmit Neyhouse who was born in Germany. His parents met while his father was serving in the Army in Germany. [Both are interred at Arlington National Cemetery.]

George served in the military for four years after high school. At the time of his death, he was attending a community college and was working as a security guard at a local store in the Woodbridge area of Virginia.

His brother is Henry Neyhouse, often called John or Johnny, (wife Pam) of Warrenton, Virginia, and his sister was the late Kathryn (Kathy) Marie Sullivan. Both his father and his sister passed away in 2008. He has a surviving step-mother, Virginia Neyhouse, of Woodbridge, two step-brothers, Bradley and Stanley Rumph (wife Faith) of Washington, D.C. and Dumfries respectively, and two step-sisters, Elaine Armstrong of Woodbridge and Louise Gallucci (husband Robert) of Stafford. He's also survived by his nephew Matthew Sullivan and wife Kellie of Stafford and their three daughters, Mikayla, Madison and Myleigh, as well as other relatives.

George was a bright person with a promising future. He seemed to be outgoing and a "people" kind of person. In addition, George was friendly, a good conversationalist, and fun to be around.

^^His brother Henry (Johnny) died in Florida of cancer in the summer of 2019.
