MYRTLE PAYNE DEAN
Mrs. Myrtle Payne Dean, 77, formerly of Wichita, died Monday in Eureka, Kan.
She was born March 20, 1887, in Sod Town, Neb. She lived at 310 N. Ash, in Wichita, before moving to Eureka 15 years ago.
She was a member of the Eureka Methodist Church and Eastern Star.
Survivors include the widower, James; a daughter, Mrs. Joanne Cox, Tulsa, Okla.; a brother, Ernest St. Peters, 426 N. Fern; a sister, Mrs. Dora Wilson, Eureka; a step daughter, Esda Cox, 1420 N. Charles; two step sons, Donald Dean, Kansas City, Mo.; and Verlin Dean, Eureka; two foster sons, Charles A. Payne, Seattle, Wash., and Forest Payne, 2026 N. Market; and a foster daughter, Mrs. Thelma Hartronft, Siloam Springs, Ark.
The funeral will be at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Byrd-Snodgrass Funeral Home East. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery.
