Cone C. Cottingham, 92, passed away January 2, 2012 after a long illness.

He was born September 4, 1919 in Sharon Center, Ohio.

Cone served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He retired with over 30 years of service from Barefoot Sole.

He was preceded in death by first wife, Esther; second wife, Doris; daughters, Linda and Becky; sisters, Jean and Doris; and brother, George. Survived by two sons and one daughter; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, stepchildren, and step-grandchildren; one sister; one brother; and extended family.

Funeral service will be Thursday, January 5, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Cox Funeral Home, 1376 High St., Wadsworth (one mile north of I-76 on St. Rt. 94) with Deacon Roger Klaas officiating. Burial at Sharon Cemetery. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, the Alzheimer's Association, or a charity of your choice.
