Hayden V Centers, 745 Brooks Street, western Montana resident for more than half a century, died Friday at a local hospital. He was 64.

He was born Nov 11, 1894, at Irvine, Kentucky to Andrew J and Elizabeth Reynolds Centers, and moved with his family to Hamilton in 1907. He moved to Missoula in 1920 and worked for the H. O. Bell Co. for 19 years beginning in 1923. He worked fot the Forest Service from 1942 to 1952, when he retired. He was an automobile electrician.

He was married November 11, 1920, at Hamilton, to Nina Jarvis. He was a member of Masonic Lodge 13, AF&AM, and was a life member of the Disabled American Veterans. He served in World War I.

Survivors are the widow; a daughter, Mrs. Robert C. Holt of Baltimore, Md.; a granddaughter; three brothers, herbert of Hemet, Calif., Estill of San Jacinto, Calif., and Carl of Spokane; two sisters, Mrs. John C. Nicholson of Phoenix, Ariz., and Mrs. Walter Blood of Anaconda.

The body is at the Squire-Simmons-Carr Rose Chapel where services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday. Missoula Lodge 13, AF&AM, will conduct services. Burial will be in Missoula Cemetery.
