Hazel Jewell Hicks, age 91 of Wayton, Arkansas passed away Wednesday, October 19, 2016 at Jasper, Arkansas.

The daughter of William H. and Lydia C. (Henderson) Snow was born on June 15, 1925 at Wayton, Arkansas.

She was a charter member of the Wayton United Baptist Church, a member of the Eastern Star, Sunday School teacher and a homemaker. She was a lifetime resident of Newton County.

She married Loyal J. Hicks on September 24, 1944 at Shop Creek.

Hazel was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Loyal Hicks; one brother Argus D. Snow and one sister Oneda Shelton.

Survivors are two sisters Elene Phillips and Alice Tenison both of Wayton; one brother-in-law Jr. Shelton of Wayton; one sister-in-law Imogene Hicks of Wayton and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, October 22, 2016 at the Wayton United Baptist Church with Brother Donnie Villines officiating. Burial will follow in the Snow Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, October 21, 2016 at Coffman Funeral Home in Jasper.

Pallbearers will be nephews and great-nephews.
