Bobbie Jo Duckett, age 69 of Wayton, AR passed away Saturday, June 17, 2006 at North Arkansas Regional Medical Center in Harrison, AR.
She was born March 30, 1937 in Scranton, AR the daughter of Edd and Mabel (Ralph) Kelton. She married Alton Duckett August 31, 1957 in Modesto, CA. She was a homemaker and moved to Newton County June 14, 1992, from Irving, TX.
Survivors are her husband, Alton Duckett of Wayton; children, Debra Slaughter of Grand Prairie, TX, Donna Howe of Alvarado, TX, Randy Duckett and Gary Duckett both of Wayton; sisters, Georgia Hayward of Sharpe, KY and Lou Ella Holman of Bloomfield, MO; brother, J.R. Kelton of Wayton; thirteen grandchildren, Lisa Duckett, Stephanie Barreda, Christopher Howe, Elisha Duckett, Melanie Howe, Michelle Howe, Ashley Duckett, Jenny Duckett, Joshua Howe, Shaunda Duckett, Matthew Slaughter, Elijah Slaughter, and Justin Duckett; nine great grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends she gathered over the years.
Services for Bobbie Jo were held Wednesday, June 21 at Coffman Chapel in Jasper. Burial was in Wayton Cemetery at Wayton, AR. Pallbearers were Rusty Tune, Edd Kelton, Orlan Kelton, Bobby Adams, Eddie Holman, and Cecil Holman. Honorary pallbearers were Neil Holman and Johnny Henderson. Visitation was Tuesday, June 20 at the funeral home.
