Mrs. Mary Amanda Annis, 99, a resident of the Dor-A-Lin Nursing Home, died there at 12:40
p.m. Thursday. She had been ill for the last six weeks. She was born in Carroll County,
Ohio, on Sept. 20, 1866, and she came to South Bend 72 years ago from Bremen. Her husband, Leander Annis, to whom she was married in 1883, died on Jan. 11, 1924. She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Finkenbinder, two sons, Lester and Clarence, all of South Bend; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-granchildren. Friends may call after 7 p.m. Saturday in the Forest G. Hay and Son Funeral Home where rites will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday. Rev. John Rawlings, pastor of Grace Methodist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery. She was a 70-year member of Grace Methodist Church and life member of the WSCS of the Church.

Annis, 99, a resident of the Dor-A-Lin Nursing Home, who died Thursday night will be six grandsons, Otto Reichandter, Ralph Hartstein, Robert Annis Sr., Charles Keltner, Earl Wiseman and Edward Finkenbinder. Friends may call at the Forest G. Hay & Son Funeral Home where services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday.

Burial will be in Highland Cemetery.
