Nunzio arrived at Ellis Island from Sicily in 1901 with his mother ,Antonina Buzzone ,and siblings Rocco and Fannie. They joined his father, Joseph Rocco Alberti, in Annapolis MD, where the father served as musician n the US Navy band. The family was naturalized in MD, before arriving to "Italian Harlem", East 107th St, NYC, where Nunzio lived many years before moving to the Bronx. Nunzio was drafted into the US Army ,9 Sept 1918. He was sent over to France as part of the Third Phase of the Meuse-Argonne Offensive on the Western Front. WW1, Oct 1918-Apr 1919. He married Frances Palumbo in 1920, and they raised 2 daughters and a son. Nunzio held various jobs, including liquor salesman for the Knickerbocker Co. Nunzio was known to his 10 grandchildren for being a great story teller.
