JESSE - Emily Carnice Brooks, 75,
died Wednesday, Nov. 3 1993, at her
home following a long illness.
Born Feb. 27 1918, at Bud, she was
the daughter of the late William M and
Laura Garretson Shrewsbury.
Mrs. Brooks was a homemaker and a
member of the Guyandotte Baptist
Church with 50 years of service.
She was preceded in death by a
brother, Richard Shrewsbury.
Survivors include her husband of 52
years, Hollis Brooks; a son, Phillip
Brooks of Frederick, Md; two daughters
Betty Brooks of Parkersburg and Glenna
Beatty of St. Marys; a sister Mary
Blankenship of Allen Junction, and
four Grandchildren.
Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday
at the Evans Memorial Chapel, with
the Rev. W.J. Brooks Officiating.
Burial will follow in the Palm Memorial
Gardens, Matheny.
Friends may call from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
today at the funeral home.
Friends will serve as pallbearers.
