George Jacobs married Elizabeth Weimer around 1840 in Pennsylvania. They made their way to Illinois and settled in Whitefield, IL around 1857 where he was a farmer for almost 40 years. He and Elizabeth had 12 children who include Margaret Jane Jacobs Salisbury, Stewart A Jacobs, Thomas Jacobs, George Jacobs, Mary Jacobs, William E Jacobs, Elizabeth Jacobs, Charles Albert Jacobs(Who is also buried at this cemetery), Susan Francis Jacobs Waughop, and James Jacobs. Many of their descendants are still living in Illinois. George Jacobs' death certificate is held at Marshall County.
