Entered Confederate Service at Camp
Zollicoffer,9/24/1861 @ age 41. He
was assigned Co I, 28th Tenn Inf.
Probably fought at Mill Springs,KY,
Possibly Shiloh and Stones River.
He is shown being captured in Macon
County, TN on Dec 23, 1863. He was
taken to Louisville, Ky Military
Prison, arriving there on or about
December 31, 1863. Then transferred
to Rock Island Prison about 1/29/64.
He died there on April 1, 1864 of
chronic diarrhea and remains there
in grave 965. His brother Raulston/
Roslton died there on August 20,
1864 and is buried in grave 1433.
