Francis "Frank" Devaney life long resident of Cambridge, MA. Husband of the late Agnes(McGurk)Devaney. Loving father of four daughters, Mary , Agnes, Helen & Catherine. He was also the father of a stillborn son in 1915 and Francis who lived 12 days, died in 1919. He leaves his sister Sadie Kearney of Cambridge. He was the brother of the late John M. Devaney of Cambridge, Jimmy Devaney (BFD) of Allston, and Mary "Mae" McGowan , and the late Delia who died in infancy all of Cambridge. He was the son of the late Mary (Duffy) Devaney and John Martin Devaney of Cambridge, formally of Ireland. Frank worked for the city of Cambridge and received special permission to work beyond retirement age.
I remember talking with Uncle Frank's daughters, Agnes and Mary around 2000, and they shared with me that their Dad use to take them by the hand to the voting polls when they were in their twenties, go into the voting booth with them and make them vote for the politician that he wanted to win.
