Thomas Lincoln6 Skolfield (George5, Humphrey4, Thomas3, Joseph2, Thomas') was born
25 July 1904; married Muriel Shelton, daughter of Edwin C. Shelton and Effie Lee Jones, on
23 August 1943 in Santa Ana, California. He died 7 March 1948. Thomas wrote a book about goings to the moon that was never published. He worked at Vernon Avenue Bowling alley where he was a pin setter. While doing that he drew up the first plans for an automatic pin setter. George Herbert Skolfield reported in May 1948 that: "Tom has not been well for sometime. He worked 72 hours a week (night. work) during the war and with his other duties had a breakdown, never fully recovered from an operation in September, seemed to improve but got the flu in February and lost what he gained.
Muriel Shelton was born 22 February 1902 in Denver, Colorado. She had been married to and divorced from R. C. Green before her marriage to Thomas Lincoln Skolfield, and had a daughter born before June 1940 named Virginia Lee Green, who was adopted in July 1947 as Virginia Lee Skolfield by Thomas Lincoln Skolfield. Virginia Lee married Paul Clayton. Muriel Shelton married, third, Frank
Eshbaugh on 1 August 1949.
