Mae Noble Ulmer, 91, of Vancleave, MS died on Monday, September 24, 2012. Mrs. Ulmer was a lifelong resident of the Fort Bayou Community. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Ulmer was a devoted member of Fort Bayou Baptist Church.
"Aunt Mae" as she was affectionately known always had a fresh pot of coffee and cake for friends and her family as they dropped by her kitchen throughout the day. Her warm smile and generous spirit was shown to everyone she met. Her faithfulness to her church was unparalleled. No better friend could be found than Aunt Mae.
Mrs. Ulmer is preceded in death by her husband, Hardy Odell Ulmer.
She is survived by her daughter, Donna Alisa Ulmer of Vancleave; son, Dale Hardy (Mitzi) Ulmer also of Vancleave; six grandchildren, Kim Richie, Tina Rogers, Curtis Williams, Amanda Ulmer, Charles Calton and Clay Calton; ten great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and a host of family and friends.
The family wishes to thank the Staff of Odyssey Hospice.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, September 27, 2012 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be on Friday, September 28, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Fort Bayou Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Antioch Cemetery.
