Sgt. Raymond E. Haas Ret. Raymond passed away peacefully at home Jan. 19, 2004, at age 75. Ray was born Apr. 29, 1928 in Reliance, South Dakota to Ray and Ellen Haas. Ray joined the Navy Nov. 19, 1944 at age 16. Serving in WW II with honors. Ray joined the Army Apr. 30, 1946. Serving in the Korean War and volunteering for Vietnam. He retired from the Army Sept. 26, 1967. He was preceded in death by his wife of 40 years, Jeannine. He is survived by sons, Richard (Angel) and Eric; daughters, Patty (Dwayne) and Caroline (Wes); grandchildren, Candice, Corissa, Haley and Kaitlyn. Special thanks to Brooke Blessum, Dr. Reece, MAMC and Franciscan Hospice for their care and devotion. Services will be held Jan. 26, 2004 at 12:30 PM, Tahoma National Cemetery, Kent, WA.
