Mary Elizabeth Miltonberger was born on October 12, 1892 in North Bend, Dodge County, Nebraska. Her perents were George Wesley Miltonberger and Frances Jennie Mitchell. Mary was the fifth child of five the couple would have. In 1900 she was living with her parents and siblings in North Bend, Nebraska.She was seven years of age and going to school. On October 5, 1912 she married Donald Fredrick Tooley in Grand Island, Hall County , Nebraska. The couple would have five children; Netta Maxine, on July 5, 1913; Mary Elizabeth on January 1, 1917; John Jefferson on October 15, 1919; Wallace J on July 1926 and Coral Virginia on June 28, 1928. By 1930 the family had moved to Grandview, Idaho, where they still were located in the 1940 census. Little is known as to how much contact Mary kept with her siblings. I do know that at some point she had spent some time with her sister Coral in Nebraska. On October 1, 1947 Mary Elizabeth passed away in Wendell, Gooding County, Idaho. On October second she was buried at the Jerome City Cemetery, in Jerome, Idaho. Her husband would join her there after his passing on June 19, 1968.
