Mr. Bukowski passed away Saturday afternoon, June 9, 2012 following a short battle with cancer at his residence at the age of 69. The son of the late Thaddeus and Helene (Gibowski) Bukowski was born August 17, 1942 in Bay City. He retired in 2000 from Grey Iron Foundry in Saginaw. Mr. Bukowski was a former member of the Saginaw Bay Yacht Club, Elks Lodge B.P.O.E #88 and Bay City Lions Club. He enjoyed playing cards, was an avid sports fan of the Detroit Tigers, Pistons, Red Wings and Lions and enjoyed attending classic car shows with his 1958 Chevrolet convertible. He served with the U.S. Army Reserves.

He is survived by his wife the former Donna J. Dishaw whom he married May 1, 1971. Also surviving are his brother and sister-in-law; Thomas and Melody Bukowski of Bay City, MI, his father-in-law and his wife; Donald and Catharine Dishaw of Lady Lake, FL, his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; Larry and Susan Dishaw of Swartz Creek, MI, Sandra and Gregg Persons of Bay City, MI and Thomas and Marcy Dishaw of Bad Axe, MI, several nieces and nephews, his special friends; Sue Huber, Tom and Mimi LaPorte, Patrick Kinney and Dr. Joseph Loree, his special dogs; Popcorn and Pixie. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by: two brothers; William Bukowski and Michael Bukowski and his mother-in-law; Esther Dishaw. The family would like to extend a Thank you to the staff of McLaren Visiting Nurse Services and Hospice for the kind and compassionate care our loved one received during his time of need.

Funeral and Committal Services will take place Thursday, June 14, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. Officiating will be Rev. Fr. Thomas Sutton with private interment in Oak Ridge Cemetery. Friends may call at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. on Wednesday from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. and on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services. Memorial Cards for McLaren Visiting Nurse Services and Hospice, the Nate and Mary Ida Doan Santa House or the Donor's Favorite Charity will be available at the funeral home. www.gephartfuneralhome.com
