Mary was born on 1 Jan 1849 in Boharm, Banffshire, Scotland to James and Catherine McDonald Robertson. Mary married Alexander Ross Farquharson and had 6 children, the oldest was my great-great grandfather, James Robertson Farquharson. She died of typhoid fever on 7th of May 1880 at the age of 31 in Lisbon, Cedar, Iowa. She was preceeded in death by her sister, Margaret in 1850, whom died as an infant, and her mother Catherine in 1878.
