She was married July 16, 1898, to John C. Case of Little River community and there they made their home until they moved to Lyons in 1900. In 1910 they moved to Mitchell, residing there until 1913 when they moved to Zenda and made Kingman county their home for several years before moving to Colorado and later to Cherryvale where the husband passed away in November of 1931.
Following the death of her husband Mrs. Case moved to Hillrose, Colorado, to make her home and to be hear her daughter.
In March 1946 Mrs. Case visited her son and family in Hutchinson and friends and relatives at Little River, and it was at this time that she suffered an initial stroke which resulted in her becoming paralyzed in speech and in body, invaliding her to hospital care, after which she was moved to Eben Ezer Hospital at Brush, Colorado, where she continued to stay until taken in death April 16, 1950.
Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Nellie Back, Brush, Colorado, and Mrs. Edna Hagler, Savage, Montana; three sons Vaile S. Case, Hiawatha, Kansas; Merton A. Case, Gardena, California; Orris E. Case, Hutchinson; two brothers, Earl Seward, Kinsley, Kansas, and W. E. Seward, San Diego, California; and several grandchildren and great grandchildren. One son, Elwin Earl, died in infancy in 1904.
Since early childhood Mrs. Case was a member of the Christian Church and at the time of her death was a member of the Methodist Church of Hillrose, Colorado, and her Christian influence was infiltrated into the lives of her children.
Her many friends, family, and relatives deeply mourn her passing and many of them are gathered here this morning to pay tribute to her and to escort her to her final resting place in Bean Cemetery this twentieth day of April in 1950.
