Sammie Beaty

Sammie Beaty, 93, Humansville, died Friday, Feb. 9, 2001, in Big Spring Care Center, Humansville.

The daughter of William Henry and Lue Emma Jones Baumgardner, she was born July 16, 1907, in Cedar County near Stockton.

On Oct.1, 1924, she married Raymond E. Beaty, who preceded her in death June 27, 1973. Her son, Lyman E. Beaty, and two sisters, Pearl Tindell and Opal Heston, also preceded her in death.

She was a homemaker and a member of Alder Missionary Baptist Church.

Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, Francis Dale and Macelene Beaty of Humansville; a sister, Ruby Dean Leffler of Stockton; five grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.

Services were Monday, Feb. 12,in Murray Chapel, Humansville, with Elder Leo Keller officiating. Honorary pallbearers were Bill Gannaway, Eldon Gannaway, J. C. Piper and Roy Austin. Pallbearers were Ken Bridges, Brian Bridges, Derek Bridges, Eric Bridges, Vance Keith and Frank Harmon. Interment was in Alder Cemetery.
