Clarence was born to Chester Howe and Blanche Horle Howe, he was the oldest of five children. There were three boys and two girls . Clarence left at a early age and lived for 48 years in Wyoming, where he was a sheepherder , before he moved on to spend the last 42 years of his life in California, working at the Kaiser Ship Yards.
