William Alfred Baker of 808 Second street, Juniata, who died at the Altoona hospital at 10:30 this morning was born at Mapleton, Nov. 19, 1882, the son of Calvin Baker and Mary Elizabeth (Henderson) Baker, now of Clear Ridge, Fulton county. The parents, while Mr. Baker was yet a youth, moved to Fulton County, where they have since resided. The unfortunate man has been a resident of Juniata since his marriage June 1, 1908, to Miss Nora Wyerman of 2008 Walnut avenue.

He was a member of the Trinity Lutheran church of Juniata, of the Brotherhood of L. F. and E. and of the Juniata lodge of the I. O. O. F. he had been an engineer for the Pennsy for the past seven years.

His widow, two children, William Donald, aged 7, Mildred Evangeline, aged 4 survive, with the parents and the following sisters and one brother; Mrs. J. W. Evans of Wiers Cave, VA, Mrs. Frank Madden of Maddensville, PA, Mrs. Philip Hileman of Greenwood, Mrs. J. L. Bloom of Tyrone, Mrs. Howard Everhart of Wood, PA, Miss Dorothy Baker, a nurse in the Dixmont hospital in Dixmont, PA and Jennings J. Baker of Juniata.

Miss Marjorie R. Sheppard and Dr. William D. Baker, son of Mrs. Nora Baker, a former resident of Juniata, and a grandson of Mrs. David A. Wyerman. also a former resident of Altoona but now residing in Los Angeles, Calif., were united in marriage on Saturday, Feb. 4, at Santa Barbara, Calif.
