Herman (Barney) Barth of Edison avenue and Fifty-ninth street, Eldorado, died unexpectedly of a heart attack at 2.45 o'clock Wednesday afternoon enroute to the Altoona hospital, Deputy Coroner Edgar G. Walls said.
He was born June 26, 1895, in Altoona, a son of Karl and Sophia (Beahm) Barth. He was married to Harriet Hammel and was a foreman at the Coca Cola bottling plant.
Surviving are his wife, two daughters. Mrs. Hilda Harris of Altoona and Miss Catherine Barth, at home; one son, Herman P., with the United States navy in Hawaii; two sisters, Mrs. Catherine Bowers and Mrs. Samuel Hostler, both of Altoona: a brother, William Barth of Bellwood. and one granddaughter, Linda Harris.
Mr. Barth was a member of St. James Lutheran church.

BARTH - Funeral services for Herman (Barney) Barth of Edison avenue and Fifty-ninth street, will be held Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the home, in charge of Rev. Edwin M. Clapper. Interment at the Carson Valley cemetery. Friends are being received at the home.
